Acacia Capital Management receives the 'Emerging Long / Short Hedge Fund Manager of the Year 2010'

On May 14, 2010, Acacia Capital Management received the "Emerging Long/Short Hedge Fund Manager of the Year 2010" award from Selection Board of the Emerging Managers' Summit.

This award recognized the achievements of Acacia Capital Management, a China focused long / short fund that invests in superior risk /reward global investments with a core focus on China related investments. This is the second investment fund led by Ryan Weidenmiller, Founder, CEO, and Portfolio Manager Acacia to be independently recognized by industry associations; the first fund he founded and led from 2004-2007, was ranked the number #6 venture capital firm in China only three years after its founding -- twelve companies, totaling over $12 billion in market capitalization, conducted their IPOs  from this fund on the NASDAQ and NYSE exchanges.

Attendees at the Opal Emerging Managers Summit include a diversified group of up-and-coming performance-oriented managers, managers of managers and large end-investors. The conference explored the benefits and opportunities offered by investing in emerging managers as well as new strategies for implementing an emerging managers program. The Opal Emerging Managers Awards recognize industry leaders for their achievements.
